We are looking for a Laboratory Manager for our Food & Nutrition Laboratory in Bresso (MI), Italy.
The Laboratory Manager supervises laboratory activities, including formulation development, sample/prototype creation, testing, and product characterization, to support the commercial team (sales, product management, Principal Development Managers, etc.).
He/She contributes to the innovation process with technical knowledge and expertise and is responsible for proper documentation and record-keeping.

Manage, develop, and improve products in accordance with customer requirements;

Evaluate stability tests;

Support product development and formulation evaluation;

Support customers in manufacturing and scale-up processes to evaluate and improve formulations.

Ensure accurate records are maintained in line with regulatory requirements;

Act as a technical interface towards principals and customers;

Contribute to best practice sharing within the technical community in EMEA.

Train customers and internal colleagues on products and applications;

Support marketing and sales through customer and supplier events;
-
Support sales with customer problem-solving.

Line management and supervision of laboratory activities.

Be responsible for all health and safety procedures in the laboratory;

Continuously improve health and safety practices;

Ensure all team members follow health and safety procedures;

Provide training to team members where required.

Translate the Group’s Sustainability Strategy into concrete job-related actions;

Contribute actively and timely to the implementation of sustainability KPIs.

Identify and follow up on technical trends and improve technical capabilities accordingly;

Collaborate with marketing teams to identify consumer trends and develop innovative concepts to support ingredient promotion and commercial growth;

Contribute significantly to the Group’s innovation process;

Take responsibility for regional and cross-functional projects;

Act as a mentor for newcomers within the lab environment;

Lead best practice sharing within the technical community in EMEA.

Master’s degree with some years of lab experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 6–9 years of relevant experience;

Broad chemical and application knowledge in Food & Nutrition;

Experience in laboratory management;

Ability to influence and achieve results through others;

Strong interpersonal and communication skills;

Analytical mindset;
-
Good command of English;
-
Advanced user of IT tools.
