- Provide professional interior design support for the planning, design, renovation, and construction of Government facilities.
- Prepare and review interior design drawings, finish schedules, furniture layouts, material selections, and design documentation.
- Develop interior design concepts that support project requirements, functionality, and applicable codes and standards.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, project managers, and Government stakeholders throughout all phases of project execution.
- Review design documents to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable building codes and accessibility standards.
- Provide technical recommendations and design support during planning, design, construction, and project close-out activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from a Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) accredited program.
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional interior design experience.
- Must possess a current Interior Design License or National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) certification.
- Strong knowledge of interior design principles, space planning, finish selection, and design documentation.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
Location: Primary work location is NSA Naples (Capodichino), Italy (PSC 817 Box 51, FPO, AE 09622-0051). The position requires frequent Temporary Duty (TDY) travel to NSA Bahrain, Kingdom of Bahrain, including NSA 1, NSA 2, NSA 3, and Isa Air Base. TDY travel may consist of up to ten (10) trips, each lasting approximately ten (10) days, during each performance period. While performing work at NSA Bahrain, employees may be required to work in austere environments due to damaged facilities and must be capable of performing physical activities such as prolonged walking, standing, climbing, crouching, and bending. U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
