About the Role
We are looking for a Hardware Engineer – Automotive / Motorsport to join our Electronics Engineering team.
In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of high‑performance and high‑reliability electronic hardware solutions for demanding automotive and motorsport applications, working in close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Design of analog and digital hardware for multilayer electronic boards for automotive and motorsport applications
- Schematic design and support to high‑reliability PCB layout activities
- Selection of electronic components according to automotive requirements, harsh environments, and high‑performance applications
- Definition and design of power supply circuits, power management solutions, and electrical protections
- Integration of microcontrollers, sensors, communication interfaces, and embedded systems
- Hardware development for ECUs, data acquisition systems, telemetry, power management, and actuator control
- Hardware bring‑up, testing, validation, and debugging of prototypes and pre‑series units
- EMC/EMI analysis and support to automotive compliance and certification activities
- Continuous collaboration with firmware, embedded software, mechanical, and testing teams
- Support during industrialization phases and interface with PCB and EMS suppliers
- Preparation of technical project documentation, test reports, and hardware specifications
What You Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience in electronic hardware development in automotive or motorsport environments
- Proven experience designing electronics for high‑reliability, high‑vibration, and wide‑temperature‑range environments
- Strong knowledge of:
- Analog and digital electronic circuits
- Switching power supplies and power management
- Communication buses: CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet
- Microcontrollers and embedded systems
- Automotive robustness and EMC design criteria
- Experience using professional electronic CAD tools for schematic and PCB design
- Ability to use laboratory instrumentation (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, climatic chambers, etc.)
- Familiarity with automotive standards and electronic validation processes
- Good command of the English language
- Direct experience in Formula SAE, racing, or professional motorsport
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety standards
- Experience in electronics for harsh and high‑vibration environments
- Knowledge of APQP / PPAP processes
- Experience with environmental testing, HALT/HASS, or automotive validation activities
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to perform effectively in dynamic and high‑pressure environments
