Purpose of the job
The Planner is responsible for preparing and coordinating vessel, yard, and rail plans to ensure efficient cargo flow and smooth terminal operations. This role supports operational teams by providing accurate plans, timely updates, and clear instructions that align with customer requirements, safety standards, and terminal capacity. The Planner works closely with multiple departments to ensure that vessel, yard, and rail activities are executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma. A college degree in Logistics, Operations Management, or related discipline is an advantage.
- Requires intermediate English writing and speaking. Fluency and/or advanced level in an advantage.
- Requires at 2–4 years of experience in terminal operations, vessel planning, yard planning, or rail logistics.
- Experience in a container or RORO terminal environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with TOS systems and operational planning tools.
Technical Skills & Knowledge Required
- Good understanding of container and RORO terminal operations, including vessel, yard, and rail planning processes.
- Proficiency in Terminal Operating Systems (e.g., NAVIS N4, RBS, or similar).
- Knowledge of IMDG regulations, DG segregation rules, and port safety standards.
- Ability to interpret stowage plans, yard layouts, rail schedules, and operational forecasts.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in terminal operations, yard planning, or vessel planning (container and/or RORO).
- Strong understanding of port logistics, cargo handling equipment, and yard operations.
- Advanced knowledge of TOS systems and operational planning tools.
- Education in Logistics, Maritime Studies, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred but not mandatory with strong experience).
Language Requirements
- Fluent spoken and written Italian is a must.
- Fluent spoken and written English is a must.
Salary range: 30.000-45.000€
The salary range indicated represents the expected compensation for the position. The final compensation package will be determined at the end of the recruitment process, considering professional experience, skills, and overall suitability for the role.
