IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy, is looking for a Junior Researcher to join the Experimental Imaging Center. The Center scientific activity covers the main areas of biomedical research, including preclinical, translational and experimental clinical research. As a unifying trait, our research stems from bioimaging and is aimed at using a morphological approach to investigate relevant biomedical questions. Bioimaging techniques, together with advanced computation analysis, are changing the way in which biomedical research as well as diagnosis and therapy of several diseases are undertaken.
Main responsibilities:
Human microglial cell culture
Validation of a gene therapy viral product for the immunomodulation of pathogenic microglial cells
Set up of an assay to evaluate the efficacy of the viral transduction in controlling microglial activation
smFISH/spatial transcriptomics
high resolution microscopy
The candidate we are looking for has the following skills:
Degree in Biology or similar
Competences in cell biology
Competences in cell cultures
Competences in basic microscopy
