We are looking for an extracurricular intern within the Campania Engineering Center, at Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace company. As Intern - Combustors Design Engineer you will work as part of an integrated global team. You will contribute to the design and development of Combustion System Modules and Components and their technology maturation vehicles, with the aim of supporting product evolution and design activities.
Essential Responsibilities
Support the Design, analysis and test required to demonstrate main combustion performances
Perform mechanical analysis and design, in agreement to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
Perform aero-thermal analysis: 1D Flow network, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD 3D), Thermal analysis
Participate in design reviews and tech reviews
Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers
Collaborate with cross functional engineering team to support hardware design & test
Efficient communicate with the team to improve collaboration and eliminate waste. Share information and promote open dialogue
Qualifications/Requirements
Master's Degree in Engineering (Aeronautical/Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering preferred)
Passion for technical excellence and technology advancement

Clear thinking and diligent approach
Fluent English and Italian
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Work Visa, according to local regulation, is required
Desired Characteristics
Good understanding of combustor aerodynamics, heat transfer, and durability
Knowledge of aero design tools to address aero-thermal design, such as Flow network solver, CFD and basic thermal solver
Creativity and curiosity
Capable to work in multicultural environment, preferable previous international experience;
Analytical thinking skills
System mindset and problem solver
