Job Description:
Job Purpose
Supervise, optimize and continuously improve the production activities in the site together with other disciplines, taking into account the local regulations, rules, the permits, the agreed cost budget according to the specifications as agreed with the Sales department.
Responsibilities
PRODUCTION ACTIVITIES: Supervise the production activities in the site and ensure the activities are performed in a safe and healthy way.
Ensure the production team, both own employees and subcontractors, perform their activities considering safety and healthy as the highest priority.
Motivate people to report unsafe/unhealthy behaviour/issues.
Ensure exploitation according to the rules as set in the permits and develop a yearly workplan to be approved by the local authorities.
Control the activities are performed within the predefined budget and alert the sales team on time when problems arise.
OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE PRINCIPLES: Supervise the Production activities in the Site according to the Operational Excellence principles.
Motivate people to strive to continuous improvement.
PRODUCTION SCHEDULE: Ensure activities are performed according to the production schedule
Collaborate with the production scheduler
Align with production scheduler and if needed with production manager/operations manager when problems arise and/or the production schedule cannot be met
QUALITY AND QUANTITY: Strive to the optimal balance between customer demands and specifications in relation to quality, quantity, efficiency and cost.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT. Motivate and evaluate the team members to enhance team collaboration and support their individual development and growth.
WASTES REGULATIONS: Compliance with waste management regulations, including the management of digital FIRs, as well as ensuring that stock management aligns with the existing authorization.
Technical Capabilities
Industry knowledge: Practical understanding of industrial mineral industry
Product & Market Knowledge: Broad breadth and depth knowledge of Sibelco processes, products and markets
Safety: Knowledge of Sibelco's safety regulations and ensures activities are in compliance with those regulations.
People Skills: Efficient and clear communication - Able to motivate the team
Behavioral skills: Open minded - Team player - Pro-active - Able to work independently – Leadership -Self-motivated
Language requirements
English – proficient verbal & writing
Local language of the country of base and main operations – proficient verbal & writing
Other languages are an asset
