Senior Consultant - AI & Advanced technology
Risk Consulting is looking for candidate to join our Risk Advanced Technology team as Senior Consultant based in Rome for a hybrid role.
Risk Consulting is a management consulting firm that provides risk management services as part of Marsh Risk , a leader in insurance brokerage and head of the international Marsh Group, a group of expertise in strategic and management consulting, reinsurance, human capital, and investments ( Oliver Wyman, Guy Carpenter, Mercer ).
The Risk Advanced Technology practice develops innovative risk management services using advanced technologies (Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Process Mining, and Business Intelligence) to support leading public and private organizations.
We count on you to:
Support clients in developing integrated risk management frameworks and in the digital transformation of risk management processes;
Analyze, map, and redesign business processes to identify inefficiencies, pain points, control gaps, and automation opportunities, with a particular focus on AI-enabled transformation initiatives;
Support clients in the assessment and reengineering of operational and control processes, leveraging AI, process mining, intelligent automation, and advanced analytics solutions. Gather and formalize business and functional requirements, translating client needs into actionable process improvement roadmaps and technology-enabled solutions;
Contribute to the design and implementation of AI use cases aimed at improving process efficiency, strengthening controls, reducing manual activities, and enhancing decision-making;
Work closely with business, risk, compliance, audit, and technology stakeholders to ensure that process transformation initiatives are aligned with governance, regulatory, and internal control requirements;
Support the execution of diagnostic assessments, gap analyses, and target operating model designs in the context of business transformation and innovation programs;
Contribute to project delivery across the full lifecycle, from current-state analysis and solution design to implementation support, testing, go-live, and change management;
Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of internal methodologies, assets, and thought leadership on AI-driven process transformation;
Build Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics solutions for dynamic reporting, risk monitoring dashboards, and early warning systems;
Interact with clients and all stakeholders involved in the projects, presenting results and strategic recommendations clearly and effectively.
What you need to have:
Master’s degree or higher in Management or Industrial Engineering, with excellent academic results;
Proven experience in consulting projects with proven expertise in the following areas:
Good understanding of AI-enabled business transformation, including the application of Artificial Intelligence, intelligent automation, process mining, or analytics to improve business processes
Consulting projects focused on business process analysis, process reengineering, operating model review, or transformation initiative
Solid experience in gathering business and functional requirements, process mapping, drafting functional specifications, and supporting the implementation of technology-driven solutions
Experience in interacting with multiple stakeholders, facilitating workshops, and presenting complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong project management attitude, attention to detail, and ability to manage workstreams autonomously in a client-facing environment
Excellent knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with process mapping and workflow documentation tools is a plus
Fluent Italian and English, both written and spoken
What makes you stand out:
Experience in AI transformation projects with a specific focus on process optimization, redesign, governance, and adoption
Knowledge of LLM models: prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), orchestration of AI agents and copilots, evaluation of model performance, and application of guardrails and governance mechanisms to ensure reliability, explainability, and compliance in business processes
Experience in internal controls, internal audit, compliance, or assurance-related projects, as well as familiarity with the most widely used risk management frameworks (e.g., ISO 31000, COSO Framework), with the ability to connect process reengineering initiatives to control frameworks and verification needs
Knowledge of process mining tools and methodologies for identifying bottlenecks, deviations, and improvement opportunities
Familiarity with risk and control frameworks, governance models, and operating models in regulated or complex environments
Experience in projects involving the review of end-to-end processes within finance, operations, procurement, compliance, or risk functions
Knowledge of low-code / no-code and workflow automation platforms (e.g., Power Platform, Power Automate) and their use in process transformation initiatives
Relevant certifications in process improvement, project management, audit, or risk management
Knowledge of advanced Data Visualization tools (Power BI, DAX, Qlik) and Data Management tools (e.g., Azure, SQL, SAS)

What we offer:
The position is offered on a permanent basis.
We propose a gross annual salary starting from € 32.000 for a full-time position. Depending on experience, skills and qualifications, we are willing to consider compensation above the starting salary. Variable remuneration may be granted in accordance with company policy. Further details will be shared during the selection process or directly in the employment contract.
The National Collective Bargaining Agreement (NCBA) applied is "Terziario, Distribuzione e Servizi”.
The contractual level, together with the applicable terms and conditions, will be determined in line with the experience and professional profile of the candidate selected through the recruitment process.
