Skills, knowledge, experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering;
- Experience managing IT projects acting as Project Manager, preferably using Agile principles;
- Four to eight years’ experience in a Cloud Engineer role or related position;
- Experience with Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) and Active Directory Federation Services (AFDS), PKI, OU structures and Group Policies, DNS, DHCP;
- Experience with VMWare ESX and VCF;
- Experience working with Linux/UNIX, Docker, and Microsoft Azure;
- Working Knowledge of web services, API, REST, and RPC;
- Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks.
Duties/role:
- Working with the IT team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the organization;
- Supporting the planning, designing, and developing on-prem and cloud-based applications;
- Managing the on-prem infrastructure and the cloud environment in accordance with the organization’s security guidelines;
- Leading and developing best practices for the cloud and systems engineering team.
- Supervising the execution of standard system administration duties, on prem and in the cloud, including server installation, System/Application installation and patch management, Windows and Linux problem determination and resolution, log analysis;
- Orchestrating and automating on-prem and cloud-based platforms throughout the organization;
- Defining project plans and backlogs, monitoring project execution, reporting;
- Implementing day-to-day team management by application of Agile principles, organize daily standups.
