Join our IT team in Ecolab Italy as an IT Support Apprentice based in our office in Vimercate. Ecolab’s IT teams leverage advanced technologies and methodologies across multiple domains including customer collaboration, end user computing, enterprise resource planning, cyber security, and business analytics, partnering with our businesses to deliver results. Our interns develop essential business and IT skills by actively supporting projects and programs that enable breakthrough results for Ecolab’s businesses.
What you will do
Under direct supervision you will be responsible for providing support to IT users
You will use basic analysis techniques to troubleshoot and resolve incidents as well as assisting in performing root cause analysis on problems
Using remote control software, you will provide onsite and cross-border support
Conduct regular interaction with IT users using customer service skills and communication skills
Work with other support functions on projects and activities related to IT.
Liaise with partners and vendors on IT related user support. Like for example, open incidents with HP support for hardware maintenance.
Conform with ITIL processes and ensuring that all incidents are addressed efficiently, and proper system logging is maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Perform basic incident and problem analysis as required to resolve incidents and requests
Perform hardware and software change requests as assigned
Perform implementation support as required
Attend end user meetings as requested to provide local support to users
Work with IT and Global support teams to act as a local IT resource as required to ensure regional infrastructure is maintained at a high service availability level
Qualifications & Skills
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other relevant area
Experience in cybersecurity is a plus
Excellent knowledge of English language (verbal & written communication). Spanish or Italian will be considered a plus
Proficient with MS Office 365 & Windows 11
Ability to interact professionally with others and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly dependable team player.
Ability to prioritize workload and complete responsibilities on time.
Familiarity with desktop applications, including the following:
Local client configurations including, SMS, SAP GUI
VPN, remote/wireless access connectivity configuration and maintenance
Support of Android mobile devices.
Remote Software like GoToAssist or Bomgar
