About the Role:
Frishtey Engineering and Energy Solutions Italia SRL, we help turn ambitious sustainability targets into practical, deliverable energy projects. We support renewable-energy developments across solar, storage, electrical infrastructure, energy efficiency, and grid-connected systems.
We are looking for a Senior Renewable Energy Project Manager who can take full ownership of complex energy projects from initial feasibility through construction, commissioning, and final handover. You will coordinate engineers, contractors, consultants, suppliers, clients, and regulatory stakeholders while ensuring that every project meets its technical, commercial, environmental, and scheduling requirements.
You are not simply updating project trackers. You are responsible for converting development plans into operational renewable-energy assets. You will identify risks early, remove delivery barriers, and keep multidisciplinary teams aligned from the first technical review to energisation.
Why Work With Us?
The Environment: Our Rome office is located near the EUR business district, with convenient access to engineering firms, public institutions, commercial centres, and major transport connections.
Project Impact: The projects you manage will contribute directly to Italy’s renewable-energy and decarbonisation goals. Your work will have measurable environmental and commercial value.
Project Ownership: You will have responsibility for key decisions involving schedules, budgets, contractors, technical priorities, and project risks.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: You will work alongside electrical engineers, civil engineers, environmental consultants, grid specialists, procurement professionals, construction managers, and financial stakeholders.
Growth: You will receive support for technical certifications, project-management training, renewable-energy conferences, and professional events that keep your industry knowledge current.
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-End Project Management: Lead renewable-energy projects from feasibility studies, permitting, and detailed design through procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational handover.
Project Planning: Develop detailed programmes, delivery milestones, resource plans, and project-control procedures. Monitor progress and implement corrective actions when delays occur.
Budget Management: Prepare and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, cash-flow requirements, contractor payments, contingencies, and financial reports.
Technical Coordination: Coordinate civil, electrical, mechanical, grid-connection, and environmental workstreams. Ensure that technical deliverables are complete, consistent, and suitable for construction.
Contractor and Supplier Management: Manage engineering consultants, equipment suppliers, EPC contractors, subcontractors, and specialist service providers. Monitor performance against contractual commitments.
Permitting and Compliance: Coordinate with authorities, municipalities, grid operators, and environmental bodies to support permitting, approvals, and regulatory compliance.
Construction Oversight: Monitor site activities, construction quality, safety performance, schedule adherence, and technical progress through regular meetings and inspections.
Risk Management: Identify technical, regulatory, financial, environmental, and scheduling risks. Develop mitigation strategies and escalate critical issues before they affect delivery.
Stakeholder Management: Provide clear project updates to clients, investors, internal management, consultants, and external partners. Present progress, risks, financial performance, and proposed decisions.
Commissioning and Handover: Coordinate testing, commissioning, energisation, documentation, defect resolution, and formal handover to operations and maintenance teams.
Team Leadership: Guide project engineers, coordinators, planners, and technical specialists. Set expectations, assign responsibilities, and maintain accountability across the project team.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: At least 6 years of experience in renewable energy, engineering project management, infrastructure delivery, construction, or a related technical environment.
Sector Knowledge: Strong experience in solar photovoltaic systems, battery energy storage, energy-efficiency projects, electrical infrastructure, or grid-connected energy developments.
Leadership Background: Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, and external stakeholders.
Education: A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Energy Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of renewable-energy project lifecycles, grid connections, permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational handover.
Project Tools: Experience with project-management and planning tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Excel, document-control platforms, or equivalent systems.
Commercial Awareness: Ability to manage budgets, contracts, procurement packages, supplier quotations, variations, claims, and project forecasts.
Language Skills: Professional Italian is required. Good working English is preferred for technical documentation, international suppliers, and stakeholder communication.
Professional Credentials: Project-management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA, or equivalent qualifications are an advantage.
Mindset: You are practical, organised, and commercially aware. You can balance technical quality with budget and schedule requirements, and you know when a project needs deeper analysis and when it needs a prompt decision.
Retribuzione: €4.200,00 - €4.500,00 al mese
Sede di lavoro: Di persona
