POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Event Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the successful execution of events, ensuring an exceptional guest experience while maintaining operational excellence and brand standards. This role serves as the primary on-site point of contact during assigned events, working closely with Event Planning, Sales, Food & Beverage, Culinary, and Operations teams to deliver seamless service and memorable experiences.
The Senior Event Supervisor proactively anticipates guest needs, resolves service issues, and ensures all event details are executed according to client expectations and hotel standards. The role supports revenue generation opportunities through effective communication, upselling of hotel services, and fostering strong relationships with guests and clients.
Responsibilities include supervising event operations, coordinating event setups and breakdowns, monitoring service quality, and ensuring compliance with all safety, hygiene, and company policies. The Senior Event Supervisor assists management in training, coaching, and motivating associates while serving as a role model for service excellence and operational leadership.
The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced luxury environment. The Senior Event Supervisor must maintain professional communication with guests, vendors, and team members, ensuring a collaborative approach to achieving departmental and property goals.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Supervising assigned events from pre-function preparation through event completion.
- Coordinating with internal departments to ensure flawless event execution.
- Monitoring event timelines, service standards, and guest satisfaction.
- Assisting with event-related administrative duties, including reporting and documentation.
- Supporting the development and engagement of Event Operations associates through training and ongoing coaching.
- Ensuring compliance with EDITION and Marriott brand standards.
- Responding promptly and professionally to guest requests, questions, and concerns.
- Maintaining a professional appearance and upholding the values and culture of The Lake Como EDITION.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
License or Certification: None
COMPENSATION & BENEFIT
- Gross Annual Salary: min 33,000 – max 35,000 € (the gross annual salary is calculated on a pro-rata basis when employment covers only part of the year).
- The 13th and 14th month payments are included in the gross annual salary and are accrued on a pro-rata basis, depending on the actual period worked during the year.
- TFR (severance) is an additional amount on top of the salary, which is set aside during employment and paid to the employee at the end of the contract
