Role Summary
Is the next step in your career at SMBC? We’re looking for Interns or Working Students (m/f/d) to join various departments across our Corporate & Investment Banking and Finance functions.
This includes opportunities in areas such as Structured Finance and Coverage as well as Finance & Control and in various offices such as Milan, Frankfurt, Paris and London.

In this role you will be:
Supporting the analysis, modelling and structuring of new financing transactions, including corporate refinancings
Preparing detailed credit applications, risk assessments and internal committee presentations
Contributing to market and sector analyses, borrower profiling and peer benchmarking
Assisting in the ongoing monitoring of a diversified leveraged loan portfolio, including covenant checks and performance reviews
Helping draft pitch materials and client presentations for origination and relationship management activities
For you to succeed in the role, you’ll need to have:
A strong academic background in finance or business
Fluency in English
Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
