Who manages and executes, when required, the activities pertaining to the planning / reporting within a Project of any size and complexity, in strict coordination with the Project Control Manager, in full compliance with the Contract, the Company’s quality requirements and Project Execution Plan, WBS and Schedules.
Main activities & Responsibilities
The Planning Manager during the proposal and execution phase of the project and in strict coordination with the Project Control Manager, has the following main responsibilities:
➢ HOME OFFICE
- Give guidelines to the planning team for the implementation and initialization of the project control tools;
- Ensure the preparation of the full set of planning procedures (WBS, schedules, progress measurement system, etc.) by gathering and structuring necessary logic/input data in full compliance with project/contract requirements and Company standards;
- Ensure the preparation of the project control planning documents (Execution Plan, Milestones Plan, 90 days Schedule, WBS, Top-Down Schedule, Project Control Schedule, Project detailed Schedule, Progress Curves, Reporting, Manpower Histograms, etc.) of competence and in compliance with the Project/Contract requirements;
- Lead in Project Workshops, focusing participants attention on Planning topics (i.e. WBS/PBS Workshop,
Interactive Planning Sessions, Schedule Risk analysis sessions, etc.);
- Define the planning reports, outputs and presentations, assuring the consistency amongst them and review them before sharing within the Project Team and/or Client;
- Lead and review the development of the Baseline Planning Package including Schedule Narrative/Basis of Assumptions tracking, among the others, any deviation from the Baseline in term of activities (added/removed), logic/relationships, critical paths and assuring the quality check of the Critical Path Method;
- Monitor the planning activities analyzing any deviations towards the approved baseline, timely detecting
criticalities and proposing the corrective actions/work-around solution to the Project Management for project considerations;
- Monitor and Control manhour expenditure and productivity trends;
- Organize and participate to periodical meetings for across the table review of important matters e.g. Feasibility curves, Ordering, Equipment/ material deliveries etc. to facilitate decision making;
- Monitor schedule deviations for assigned disciplines or specialties including vendors/subcontractor submittals, recommending corrective actions/work-around solutions for project considerations to the Project Management;
- Verify, for competence, the Contractual schedules/ Milestones with the subcontractors;
- Periodical execute the Schedule Risk Analysis by running the appropriate company software to determine the schedule reliability and participate with the Project Team to the Risk Analysis sessions;
- Identify potential schedule delaying events, and successive analysis of the time impact of the potential changes/claims (versus the Contract/Subcontract/Purchase Orders requirements), support the Project team (particularly PM/ Contract management/Subcontracting management/Subcontracting Purchasing Management) to decide the path forward and support the departments (in particular Claim and Contract Management) for any delay and schedule impact analysis;
- Assist and support the Cost Control Team for the preparation/assembly of the invoicing back-up documentation and for the look-ahead projection of the Project costs/revenues;
- Assist and support the Procurement/Post-Order Team in the analysis of the materials delivery times prior
to/after Purchase Order placement;
- Technical evaluate Subcontractors’ Bids to verify their compliance with the subcontract schedule and planning requirements;
- Lead Site Planning Team until full planning team mobilization is achieved;
- Collect, at project completion, all Planning data and information necessary for future development of the Company’s database and proper filling of the Project Close-out report and Lesson Learnt database.
➢ SITE
- Lead the project planning activities in accordance with the Company’s procedures and in strict coordination with the PCM;
- Ensure the development of Subcontractor Contract Level 3 & 4 Schedules, Progress Curves and manpower histograms to ensure compliance with all Project Milestones, critical interfaces and adherence to the Project Control Procedures;
- Check the feasibility of construction schedules with the scheduled deliveries of documentation, materials and updated information received from Home Office;
- Constantly monitor of the performance of Subcontractors in terms of efficiency, progress and resources;
- Cooperate with the material controller to support both information for construction feasibility and Material Control for Construction;
- Ensure the collection, at project completion, all data and information necessary for future development of the Company’s database and proper filling of the Project Close-out report;
- Manage the planning activities even in absence of the PCM
Per questa opportunità è previsto un inserimento con contratto al 1° livello CCNL Commercio con una retribuzione indicativa tra 36.000€-50.000€, la cui determinazione finale sarà definita anche in base alla valutazione delle tue competenze ed esperienze pregresse.
