Our Client is a leading multinational Company, operating in the Precision Manufacturing sector for several business and applications.
In order to strengthen the Engineering Dept. at one of their Italian plants located near Modena, we are looking - upon their commitment - for a Mold Engineer.
The selected Candidate will oversee the entire lifecycle of injection molds, from initial design review to production maintenance.
In specific, He / She will be responsible for the following activities:

Lead 2D/3D design reviews, analyzing mold kinematics, cooling layouts, venting, and rheological simulation data (Moldflow) to optimize tool feasibility and quality;

Act as the primary technical liaison for external tool shops, managing supplier qualification, technical specifications, procurement timelines, and overall deliverables;

Spearhead mold trials (from T0 to production readiness) and collaborate closely with the Quality and Validation Departments to support IQ/OQ/PQ protocol execution;

Diagnose mechanical mold defects, component wear, or structural issues, driving swift corrective actions with internal Technical team;

Define and standardise preventive and predictive mold maintenance programs, supervising internal tool shop operations or external service partners;

Manage mold modifications and engineering changes, while alignment and mentoring junior Project Engineers on tooling standards.
The ideal Candidate meets the following requirements:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or equivalent high-level technical background specializing in mold manufacturing.

3-7 years of experience in mold design, mold manufacturing, or tooling project management within the plastic injection molding sector (preferably in cleanroom or regulated environments, such as medical, pharma, or similar);

Deep knowledge of mold mechanics, steel selection, heat treatments, hot runner systems, and precision machining technologies (CNC, EDM, grinding);

Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks) and capable of interpreting injection molding simulation software (Moldflow/Moldex3D);

Fluency in English (written and spoken) is strongly preferred;

Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical skills, excellent communication and team management abilities.
