Support Engineer
To continue our growth, we are hiring new talents to work on our ERP Agency system, enriching its functionality and developing new modules as it is deployed worldwide. The team builds high-quality, innovative and fully performing software that complies with our coding standards and technical design. Within this team, we are looking for a Support Engineer whose mission is to facilitate the design, development, testing, rollout, operation and evolution of Client-Server software applications. The role includes business analysis activities and day-to-day application support for our international clients. Some activities may require testing user interfaces (non-code testing). Knowledge of SQL databases or other relational database technologies is required, together with familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems (including Server versions 2012–2019), Microsoft Office Suite and Remote Connection tools (Remote Desktop, Remote Administrator, Remote Desktop Manager).
The successful candidate will contribute within a Scrum Team and provide support throughout the rollout lifecycle to ensure that the product meets company goals, business needs and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Development Team on a daily basis by providing the information, specifications and descriptions required to address work items.
- Communicate with MSC agencies and users, assess issues, collect relevant information and contribute to problem resolution.
- Troubleshoot and identify potential solutions, liaising with development teams when code changes are required.
- Contribute to test plan design and test case preparation in relation to product backlog items.
- Support requirements refinement through contribution to acceptance testing activities.
- Execute testing activities.
- Contribute to training materials, process documentation and gap analysis activities related to production releases, migrations and transitions.
- Support Key Users during testing activities, providing guidance and responding to enquiries.
- Provide post-go-live support, collaborating with end users and Development/Support teams with a proactive problem-solving approach.
- Build and maintain collaborative working relationships across teams.
- Provide timely, complete and accurate responses to customer questions and inquiries.
- Keep up to date with trends in the maritime and logistics industry, as well as project management methodologies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven ability and commitment to high standards of customer service.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes is considered an asset.
- Experience in application support environments is considered a plus.
- Understanding of application integration processes.
- Analytical mindset, tolerance of ambiguity and open-minded approach.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
- Dynamic, collaborative and proactive attitude.
- Strong teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Availability to participate in on-call duty activities.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Availability for travel as required.
In compliance with the applicable pay transparency legislation, the following information is provided regarding the initial compensation foreseen for the position.
Applicable Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL): Metalworking Industry Collective Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanico Industria)
Employment Category: White-collar employee
Gross Annual Salary (RAL): between €26.843,44 and € 33.058,74 gross per year, paid over 13 monthly installments.
The position within the salary range and the corresponding job classification level (C2, C3, B1 or B2 under the applicable CCNL) will be determined based on the candidate’s professional experience, technical competencies, and the level of autonomy and responsibility assigned to the role.
