Your Role and Responsibilities
You will have the opportunity to support customers by providing technical assistance and specialist support. Each day, you will develop software collaborating with colleagues and customers. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting the sales office in identifying the best technical proposals and establishing collaborative relationships with customers.
This role is contributing to B&R Industrial Automation within Automation Business.

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:
Supporting customers (manufacturers of automatic machines and industrial plants) by providing technical assistance or specialist support pre- and post-sales on hardware and software products and solutions.
Developing software for real-time systems (PLC and PC), motion control systems, HMI solutions, mechatronics, and virtual prototyping, actively collaborating with the customers' automation and R&D departments.
Establishing empathetic and collaborative relationships with customers and colleagues aimed at achieving business goals, ensuring a smooth flow of information to key internal and external stakeholders.
Proactively and accurately addressing problem-solving by leveraging advanced technical and logical skills, enhancing professionalism.
Supporting the sales office in identifying the best technical proposals to offer to customers. Updating knowledge of B&R products and their applications, also promoting the transfer of the same knowledge within the technical office.
Independently providing technical assistance over the phone or on-site, solving product and application is-sues.
Organizing and preparing technical activities strategically to solve a wide variety of problems and applications.
Collaborating constantly with HQ regarding the escalation of technical issues and the implementation and transfer of innovative processes and methodologies to customers.
Assisting in the delivery of internal and external technical and professional training activities.
Qualifications for the role
Degree in Automation Engineering or Mechatronics, or at least 2 years of experience in the industry.
Possess an enhanced interest in automation, programming, digitalization, and innovation.
You are passionate about structured programming, with basic knowledge of IEC 61131 languages or C. You are familiar with industrial automation products, such as PLCs, motion control systems, and SCADA. You possess basic knowledge of electronics, mechanics, mathematics, and control theory. Knowledge of object-oriented programming is also appreciated.
Knowledge of major simulation and modeling tools (Matlab Simulink, MapleSim) and familiarity with theoretical and practical concepts of artificial vision are also appreciated.
You are at ease communicating in Italian and English languages, both written and spoken.
You have willingness to work in a team and have a strong inclination for continuous training and improvement
You are available to travel within the assigned area, as well as occasionally throughout Italy and abroad for short trips.
Compensation Package

Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico
Minimum annual salary: €39.000,00
Variable Pay: Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus
