Title: Civil Inspector (Work Supervision)

Objectives:
- We are looking for a proactive Engineer who has substantial experience as Site Inspector on the Client’s side for specialized hospitals around the world. The candidate shall have min 5 years of experience in the field of design, engineering, construction, and consultancy. He shall be a great communicator as this role must provide leadership and guidance to an international team of Inspectors. His main objective is the co-ordination and delivery of the project to meet timeline and European quality, whilst meeting or exceeding Clients’ expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all construction works are performed in strict accordance with the plans and specifications.
- Maintain a detailed diary of the day’s work activities, issues, work approved or rejected, hours of operation, labour and equipment used, etc. and sign at the end of each day as directed by the Engineers.
- Interface with the public and stake holders adjacent to the work to mitigate the construction impacts.
- Coordinate with the contractor’s foreman in charge of the work daily to advice on the proper execution of the work.
- Coordinate with the Materials Inspectors and arrange for sampling and testing of satisfactorily completed work, and quality assurance testing of suspect materials.
- Coordinate with the Surveyors to check the line and grade of ready work and completed work for conformance with the plans and specifications.
- Report questionable methods of operation by the Contractor to the Engineers or to the Resident Engineer.
- Report to Engineers any failure of the Contractor to perform the work as per the drawings and specifications and to provide good workmanship.
- Process the Inspection Requests and maintain records of their status.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed by the contractor in case the work is performed on a Day Works basis.
- Ensure thorough review & prompt exchange of correspondence, IR’s and approvals via ACONEX
- Assure site safety, and follow up HSE identified risks
- Conduct daily site meetings and inspections
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of records
Key requirements:
- Candidates with a proven track record acting in the capacity as a Infrastructure Site Engineer running a project, would be ideal
- Proficient with REVIT and Navisworks and other BIM software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify potential problems and propose solutions, proactive risk management
- Self-Organized and innovative
- Proven track record to lead a site-based team of mixed nationalities in remote areas

Qualifications:
- The candidate needs to have a recognized Technical Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline – Civil / Structural / Mechanical / Quality
- The candidate needs to have experience with Hospital and must have min. 5 years’ experience in the field of engineering and consultancy
- English proficiency at CEFR level C2 – B2
