Job purpose
The Digital & Data Platform Specialist is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of data models and reporting solutions within the SAP ecosystem, with a primary focus on SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). The role ensures data accessibility, quality, and timely delivery of analytics to support business decision-making across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- SAP Datasphere modeling & development: Design, create, and maintain data models, data flows, and virtualized datasets in SAP Datasphere. Implement new models and evolve existing ones based on changing business requirements, ensuring performance, consistency, and scalability.
- SAC reporting & analytics: Develop, maintain, and enhance SAC stories, dashboards, and analytical applications. Translate business requirements into effective visualizations and self-service reporting solutions.
- Data integration & quality: Integrate SAP and non-SAP data sources into Datasphere, ensuring reliable data pipelines and consistent data quality. Troubleshoot data flow issues and propose improvements to the overall data architecture.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, IT, and data teams to gather reporting requirements, validate data models, and ensure alignment between technical solutions and business needs. Participate in workshops and meetings to coordinate platform-related activities.
- Platform optimization & governance: Monitor performance of Datasphere models and SAC reports, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations. Support data governance practices including documentation, naming conventions, and access management.
Technical Skills
- SAP Datasphere: Solid experience in cloud-based data modeling, data flows, replication flows, virtualized datasets, and integration of SAP and non-SAP systems.
- SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC): Proficiency in building stories, dashboards, planning models, and analytical applications. Experience with data actions and formulas.
- SQL & data manipulation: Strong SQL skills for data querying, transformation, and troubleshooting.
- SAP ecosystem knowledge: Familiarity with SAP BW, SAP S/4HANA, and/or SAP HANA as data sources is a plus.
- BI & analytics foundations: Understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and reporting best practices.
- Programming & scripting: Basic knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation and automation is a plus.

Requirements:
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience working with SAP Datasphere and/or SAP Analytics Cloud in a professional environment. Familiarity with data integration, analytics tools, and digital technologies;
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or professional training or certification in Computer Science, Data Science, Digital Transformation, Business Information Systems, or a related field;
- Strong verbal and written communication in English.
