Who We Are
Do you want to use AI to transform how companies operate, make decisions, and grow? Then join us in shaping the next generation of AI-driven architectures for leading organizations worldwide. Design agentic platforms, autonomous delivery pipelines, and intelligent systems that translate enterprise knowledge into scalable business impact. Bring your unique strengths to our distinctive team—one that consistently supports each other. At BCG Platinion, together with Boston Consulting Group and our clients, we drive innovation from the boardroom to the code.
What You'll Do
As an IT Associate Forward Engineer, you will be part of interdisciplinary teams made up of architects, strategy consultants, and engineers. You will make concrete contributions to the design and prototype of architectural solutions, with a fast track toward increasing levels of responsibility.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation, a keen interest in business, and no fear of tackling complex and ambiguous problems head-on.
-
You will design AI-driven target architectures and conceptualize AI-based software factories - from “dark software factories” to autonomous software development at enterprise scale
-
You will develop AI-powered delivery pipelines that translate development processes, engineering standards, and architectural guidelines into machine-executable workflows
-
You will establish trusted AI engineering environments by designing governance mechanisms with multi-layered validation, clear identity boundaries, and end-to-end traceability
-
You will implement evaluation and security mechanisms such as automated testing and evaluation pipelines, architecture compliance checks, and red-teaming approaches for AI-generated systems
-
You will translate enterprise knowledge into machine-readable structures - such as architecture decisions, domain models, APIs, and business rules - to enable autonomous development
-
You will turn business intent into scalable architectures, embed AI sustainably into existing system landscapes and operating models, and translate vision into measurable business impact
What You'll Bring
-
You hold a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, AI Engineering, or a related field
-
You have 2-5 years of experience in software development or technical roles in cloud, backend, or system integration
-
You analyze, design, and optimize state-of-the-art, tailored IT architectures, leveraging your strong understanding of legacy systems, enterprise solutions, and current market trends (e.g., agentic AI, LLM orchestration, AI-native architectures)
-
You have hands-on experience with AI systems, such as LLM-based applications, AI agents, or machine learning platforms
-
You are familiar with modern software delivery approaches, including DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and platform engineering
-
Concepts like agent assembly lines, execution harnesses, or context engineering are familiar to you - you know how to embed them into secure and scalable enterprise architectures
-
You can translate complex business requirements into technical architectures and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
-
You thrive in interdisciplinary teams and global environments, and are flexible and willing to travel as needed
You are willing to travel to client sites (frequency varies by project)
You have strong written and verbal communication skills in both Italian and English (minimum B2, C1 preferred) - client-facing interaction is a core component of the role
