As a Technical Team Leader at RGI, you will play a key role in driving the successful delivery of complex software solutions for leading insurance companies.
You will combine hands-on technical expertise with team leadership responsibilities, supporting developers throughout the software lifecycle while ensuring high standards of quality, scalability and maintainability.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, making tecnical decisions, mentoring team members and collaborating closely with the PMs, Architects and customers.
Lead and coordinate cross-functional development teams across project activities
Act as the technical reference point for the team, providing guidance and support on design and implementation decisions
Define and validate technical solutions and application architectures
Translate functional requirements into robust technical designs
Monitor project progress, identifying risks, bottlenecks and deviations from plans
Ensure adherence to software engineering best practices, including clean code, security, performance and maintainability
Supervise development, testing and release activities
Support the resolution of complex technical issues and production incidents
Collaborate with Project Managers, Business Analysts and Architects to ensure successful project delivery
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, development standards and technical governance
5+ years of experience in software development using Java technologies
Previous experience coordinating development teams or acting as a technical lead
Proven experience delivering enterprise software projects
Experience working in structured environments and customer-facing projects
Experience in the insurance sector is considered a plus
Strong knowledge of Java / JavaEE (Java 8 or higher)
Strong knowledge of software architecture principles and REST API design
Solid experience with SQL databases, complex query optimization and performance analysis
Good knowledge of Angular (version 7+)
Experience with DevOps concepts and tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines)
Experience using version control systems (Git)
Ability to analyse functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions
