Open position: Data Governance Specialist
Location : Rome / Hybrid / Remote Contract : Permanent (Metalworking National Collective Bargaining Agreement)
Role Description
We are looking for a highly qualified Data Governance Specialist with proven experience implementing and managing Data Governance initiatives using Informatica Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC) and/or Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) and Informatica Axon solutions .
The candidate will work closely with the Data Management, IT, and Business teams, contributing to the definition of data governance policies, the mapping and cataloging of information assets, and the promotion of data culture within the company.
Responsibility:
Contribute to the definition and implementation of Data Governance frameworks and processes at the company level.
Govern and keep your enterprise data catalog up to date with Informatica EDC or Informatica Cloud Data Governance & Catalog , with
– Define or support the definition and mapping of corporate assets such as policies, glossaries and systems in Informatica Axon or Informatica Cloud Data Governance & Catalog
– Collaborate with Data Owners and Data Stewards in defining and monitoring data policies and quality.
– Facilitate the creation and maintenance of business and technical assets.
– Prepare documentation and reports to monitor data governance KPIs and metrics.
Technical Skills:
– Proven experience in using:
– Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC)
– Axon Computers

OR
– IBM Information Governance Catalog (IBM IGC)
– In-depth knowledge of the concepts of Data Governance, Data Lineage, Data Quality, and Data Ownership.
– Familiarity with modern data architectures (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Cloud).
– Excellent analytical and communication skills.
– Ability to work across technical and business teams.
– Knowledge of reference standards and frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK, GDPR, ISO 8000).
The following are considered an advantage:
– Certifications in Data Governance and/or IT solutions.
– Experience with complementary Data Quality and Data Integration tools.
– Technical background in data (e.g., Data Analyst, Data Engineer, BI Specialist).
