ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is the largest humanitarian organization saving and changing lives worldwide. In 2025 alone, WFP supported more than 100 million people by delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience. Work as hard as we might, through drought and floods, conflict and peace, disasters natural or man-made, the needs are immense and growing. To achieve a world with Zero Hunger, the Private Partnerships Division (PSP) is investing in fundraising from individuals. WFP’s individual fundraising programme is the fastest growing among our peer set (IFL Forum) and with ambitious plans for the next strategy period, we aim to reach a cumulative income of USD 1.4 billion from 2020-2030. Unique in the sector, WFP fundraises globally from a centralized team that reaches hundreds of millions of people in 180+ countries. Our strategy is digital-first; we recruit supporters primarily through Meta, Google and TikTok, and provide a world-class supporter experience via email, SMS, What’s App, outbound telephone and social media. The programme is currently expanding to support six core languages: English, French, Arabic, German, Korean and Chinese.
PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT
This is an internship within the Individual Giving Global Supporter Acquisition Team. It supports the technical setups and coordination of digital fundraising assets to ensure flawless execution across campaigns.
ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute the digital fundraising campaign setups across Meta, TikTok, and Drupal platforms
Support the setup of social media fundraising campaigns in Meta and TikTok Ads Managers, ensuring that all creatives reflect final clearance documents and is accurately named to ensure the quality of metadata.
Support the setup of all donation pages in GoDonate, including the accurate setup of any associated redirects and URL tagging
Support campaign managers to ensure internal alignment and documentation within Asana, GoDonate, Sharepoint, etc.
As needed, assist with the editing and setup of Drupal pages for search campaigns.
Support fundraising creative production
Assist in drafting clearance documents, detailing the final creative asset(s) and relevant copy, citing internal documents to ensure alignment with WFP messages.
Assist in reviewing raw video and photo content to brief creative teammates on draft social media assets.
Assist with creation of draft social media stills and carousel assets using Canva.
Support campaign managers with risk assessments and background research for celebrity fundraising prospects.
Support with any proofreading and/or translation of final campaign assets when possible.
Support analysis and daily optimizations of live fundraising campaigns
As needed, support with analyzing and/or troubleshooting campaign setups against core performance metrics using Tableau.
Assist in drafting celebrity impact reports using Tableau
DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT
Campaign setups executed flawlessly. Campaign clearance and launch processes are running smoothly. Effective support provided on content, celebrity fundraising, and any other tasks required to assist the acquisition team.
EDUCATION
University degree in relevant discipline (e.g. marketing, communications, business, international relations)
WORK HISTORY
Some experience supporting a team in a relevant area (e.g. digital marketing, creative/media, social media, fundraising)
HARD SKILLS
Familiarity in Meta and TikTok ads managers
Familiarity in GoDonate, Drupal, or similar web tool
Basic image cropping and editing in Canva (or similar tool)
Ability to troubleshoot and QA digital assets
Ability to draft and proof social media assets and copy
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft suite tools
Knowledge of digital fundraising is a strong plus

LANGUAGE(S)
English level C2 is required
