About Us
Makr Shakr is a pioneering robotics company born from research conducted at the Senseable City Lab at MIT, led by professor Carlo Ratti. Our name says it all: Makr references the maker culture and open-source digital fabrication, while Shakr nods to mixology and the transformative potential of robotics in the F&B industry. Based in Italy, our R&D team develops state-of-the-art mixologist and barista robots that operate across a wide range of settings, from high-end hospitality to large-scale events, addressing labor challenges while bringing joy, elegance, and innovation to every pour.
The Role
Makr Shakr is looking for a Business Developer Intern to join our Business Development and Sales team in our Turin office. You will work closely with our Business Development and Sales team, supporting both strategic and operational activities to bring our robotic bartending and barista solutions to new markets and clients worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
As a Business Developer Intern, you will be involved in a wide range of activities, including:
- Lead generation and market research across international markets
- Analysis of potential clients, partners, and business opportunities
- Preparation of commercial proposals, presentations, and pitch materials
- Competitor and industry trend analysis in robotics, automation, and F&B
- CRM updates and sales pipeline support
Requirements
- Background in Business, Management, Economics, Engineering, or related fields
- Interest in innovation, robotics, hospitality, and technology-driven businesses
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills and fluent English
- Proactive mindset, curiosity, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
