The role manages vendor relationships, oversees contract compliance and monitors performance to ensure cost-effective and reliable service delivery. Operationally, the IT Manager is responsible for the performance, security and reliability of all IT systems, networks and infrastructure. The role ensures that the IT team responds efficiently to incidents, minimises service disruptions and provides strong support during key school processes such as student onboarding and major events.
Cybersecurity and compliance are fundamental responsibilities. The IT Manager safeguards systems and data, ensures adherence to local regulations and Nord Anglia policies and implements best practices in data protection. The role monitors IT performance through KPIs and service reporting and drives continuous improvement across all IT operations.

Qualifications typically include a diploma or degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a minimum of five years of experience in IT management. Experience managing Microsoft 365, Windows Server and Azure AD environments is essential, along with strong knowledge of LAN and WAN infrastructure and current cybersecurity standards. Project management experience, vendor management, budget oversight and experience leading IT teams are important. Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, Microsoft or Cisco are preferred.
