We are looking for a talented and passionate Senior Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative software solutions supporting medical devices and connectivity products. In this role, you will work across the full software development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and reliable applications that positively impact patient care and healthcare professionals worldwide.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:

Design, develop, enhance, and maintain software applications for medical and connectivity solutions.

Translate technical requirements and design specifications into high-quality, scalable code.

Create and execute unit tests, ensuring robust and reliable software performance.

Partner closely with Verification and Quality teams to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues.

Support software investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions when required.

Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams to define software requirements and technical solutions.

Contribute to the setup and maintenance of development and testing environments.
-
Drive continuous improvement through modern development practices, automation, and CI/CD methodologies.

Provide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders, including Service and Marketing teams.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of professional software development experience.

Strong programming skills in one or more of the following areas:

Proficiency with Git and modern version control workflows.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks such as Playwright or Selenium.

Good knowledge of networking concepts and relational databases.

Experience creating technical documentation and software specifications.

Strong troubleshooting and debugging capabilities.

Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to manage priorities and work independently when needed.

Adaptable, curious, and eager to learn new technologies.

Experience in the Medical Device, Healthcare, or Life Sciences industry.

Exposure to regulated environments and software quality standards.

Knowledge of software development practices within FDA, IEC 62304, or ISO 13485 frameworks.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The minimum salary for this position is €41.600 annually. Your initial pay could be at the minimum or higher based on skills, expertise, experience, and other relevant factors, all of which are subject to change. This position may also be eligible for competitive benefits and incentives.
