As Defense BU Operations PMO, reporting directly to the Manufacturing Leader, you will play a critical role in driving operating rigor, cross-functional alignment, and performance visibility across the BU.
You will ensure targets deployment, key performance metric definition and orchestrate an effective operating cadence on critical metrics. Also, you will provide an overall view of Operating Unit performance, trends, problem-solving priorities and keeping focus through disciplined follow-up.
In partnership with Manufacturing Managers, Business Operations PMO, Finance, and functional owners, you will also support transactional process improvement and drive yokoten execution to scale best practices across the BU.
Essential Responsibilities
Ensure targets deployment, disciplined operating cadence, and required follow-up tracking Provides an overall BU view of Operating Unit performance, key trends and problem-solving priorities to help activate the right teams and improve business results.
Drives improvement of transactional processes in partnership with Business Operations PMO and relevant supporting functions to simplify ways of working and improve process effectiveness.
Partner with functional owners to ensure yokoten execution, standardize best practices, and maximize the impact of identified solutions across the BU.
Qualifications/Requirements
Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related field.
Significant experience in plant roles, Operations PMO, or Operations enabling functions.
Strong knowledge of FLIGHT DECK fundamentals, operating cadences, and performance management routines.
Solid knowledge of lean principles, problem-solving tools, and process improvement methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to influence, coordinate, and drive alignment across cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
Fluent in both Italian and English.
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required.
Desired Characteristics
Knowledge of machining, fabrication, and/or ATMRO.
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret performance trends, identify gaps, and support structured problem solving.
Strong relationship management and facilitation skills, with the ability to build credibility across manufacturing and functional teams.
Proven track record of driving rigor, follow-up discipline, and execution tracking across multiple priorities in a complex environment.
Ability to manage multiple deliverables, work within tight deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail.
