The Plant Commodity Buyer will be accountable for the commodity strategy, procurement activities, and supplier partnerships for the assigned commodities. You will use your experience and expertise to define and drive the Procurement strategy for direct material commodities and spare parts, ensuring top performance for the Energy Equipment and GTS businesses
As a Commodity Buyer, you will be responsible for:
Developing and executing long‑term strategies for Plant Team partnering with strategic suppliers, ensuring strong performance on Procurement KPIs for the GTE and GTS businesses.
Acting as a partner and point of reference for Commercial, Engineering, Supply Chain, Product Leadership teams on product strategy (e.g., make/buy, BVC, etc.).
Integrating commodity strategies into ITO bid activities during the early engagement phase to support the development of competitive and winning customer offers.
Ensuring an effective and compliant buying process by optimizing PO placement, driving cost‑reduction and BVC initiatives, conducting should‑cost analyses, and managing cost and productivity metrics to support the commodity strategy while ensuring best‑in‑class quality and delivery.
Leading supplier selection, development, and overall supplier partnership to achieve top performance in cost, quality, delivery, and sustainability, in collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Fulfillment functions.
Leveraging Sales and Operation plan data to align and maximize supplier capacity with business goals, ensuring clear visibility on forecasts.

Have a bachelor’s/Master degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering or Economic
Show proven experience in leading commodity
Demonstrate impressive business acumen
Be a self-starter and have good presentation and communication skills
Able to lead complex initiatives
Be able to demonstrate Interpersonal and leadership skills
Have good knowledge of supply chain and technical product

The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 36,000 To 49,500.
"The provisions of Contratto Collettivo Industria Metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti will be applied to this position. Section VI – Titolo IV of that collective bargaining agreement relates to pay".
