Thermo-Fluid-Dynamic & Infrared Signature Engineer:
TXT e-Tech, part of the TXT Group, is seeking Thermo-Fluid-Dynamic & Infrared Signature Engineers to work at one of our clients’ sites in the Aerospace & Aviation division.
Main responsabilities:
Implementation and application of one and three dimensional thermofluid dynamic models for next-generation aircraft;
Development of thermal models for aircraft structures, including bays and external surfaces;
Development and application of models for engine plume calculations;
Implementation and application of models for IR signature calculations;
Development and application of complex wall models (BRDF) and simplified radiation transport models, such as Malkmus;
The candidate will be involved in the development and application of one and three dimensional numerical models for the thermofluid dynamic analysis of next-generation aircraft, engine plumes, and the related IR signature.
Required technical skills:
Experience in internal thermo-fluid-dynamic calculations and external aerodynamics;
Basic knowledge of aircraft aerodynamics and major aircraft systems;
Knowledge of the fundamentals of infrared radiation, including wall radiation, gas radiation, earthshine, sunshine, skyshine, and wall models;
Experience with CFD software, such as SU2 or STAR-CCM+;
Experience with CAD software, particularly CATIA V5;
Excellent knowledge of Python and the MS Office suite;
Excellent knowledge of the English language.
Nice to have:
Experience with Machine Learning and neural networks for the development of reduced-order/surrogate models;
Knowledge of C/C++ and Amesim;
Experience with Linux computing environments.
Education: Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering (preferably with a specialization in Aeromechanics and Systems), Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.

The contract offered for this position is a permanent one, and the salary range for this position is between EUR 30.000 € and EUR 34.000 € gross per year;
The grading/level will be defined during the selection process based on the candidate's profile and in accordance with the National Collective Labor Agreement (Metalworking Industry).
