The Staff Engineer, Project Engineering - Systems will work in the PE ITO team and will be accountable to ensure technical support to Application Engineers and Commercial teams leading multidisciplinary activities, supporting new Products/solutions early commercialization.
In this role you will support PE ITO team leader on strategic initiatives to ensure local and global teams growth, making available own expertise into project, product and process risks identification and management, looking at ITO business needs, driving simplification and efficiency boost.
As a Staff Engineer, Project Engineering, you will be responsible for:

Cooperate with functions, business to propose tools, procedure and processes improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency of the ITO-OTR phases where the ENG team is supporting.

Become the primary technical interface for IET Commercial, AE and DTI teams when a coordinated multi-disciplinary Engineering effort is required, to support project opportunities development.

Provide guidance and leadership during the “Deal Review” process as single ENG entry point that covers risks and mitigations identified during bid preparation.

Identify with Application Engineering Team the best solutions to meet Customers' CTQs. Promote technical solutions and support early commercialization of new technologies.

Promote and enable digital growth by means of improved tool usage and optimization, responsible for development of automated process, implementing digital tools, software packages to improve efficiency and reduce proposal preparation time.
Risk Management

Leverage on consolidated experience in project, program and site risk management, support the whole PE ITO team to identify, analyse, propose mitigation to all risk resulting from ENG ITO support to AE; ensure that all risks and mitigation are understood and incorporated into technical/commercial proposal own by ITO team.

Provide solid ITO/OTR risk handoff adopting FMEA ITO in IEP, interacting also with ENG disciplines SME.

Coordinate with Engineering leaders providing the required disciplines engagement to support specific opportunity requirements and activities.

Work closely with New Products & Solutions and System Engineering organization providing input for programs development.

Be available for face-to-face meeting for critical customer negotiations.
ITO policies and Working Model :
- Work with PE ITO team to revise ETO used by AE to propose lean and effective negotiations ground rules aligned with current IT standards and working model, differentiating by segment and project complexity (i.e. 3D model management, VDR negotiation, IM database, CTO management, ENG ITO support R&R
VDR team management

Coordinate and coach VDR cross-reference team composed by Contractors and internal resources in preparing/reviewing VDR x-ref as per ITO needs. Assign and manage team priorities as per AE leadership indication.

Support critical VDR final negotiations when required
Document analysis automation and PCB governance
- Test and validate outcome of VDR X-Ref automation tool AI aided, to speed up cross reference.

For PCBs affecting Pdocs max-case, approve changes required by requestor, and help INFRA team to gain expertise and autonomy to maintain Maxcase efficiently for use in ITO and OTR, reflecting LL on OTR and ITO negotiations

Refine working model for ITO/OTR hand off with PE OTR and INFRA team.

To be successful in this role, you will

Have a BSc. or MSc. in an engineering discipline from an accredited university or college.

Have experience in Turbomachinery engineering & technology. In-depth knowledge of Energy markets and customers. Have experience in a multidisciplinary assignment environment as System Engineer, Design Engineer, Project Engineer

Have knowledge of Machine Mechanical Design, System and Auxiliaries design

Have experience in technical risk management (Register, HAZOP, FMEA...)

Have an excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, able to work closely with multiple functions

Shows strong instincts, tireless research, exact attention to detail and innovative spirit

Be target oriented, initiative-taker, autonomous … entrepreneur’s mindset

Be fluent in English and Italian and hold an EU work permit.

The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 60,800 To 83,600. The provisions of Contratto Collettivo Industria Metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti will be applied to this position. Section VI – Titolo IV of that collective bargaining agreement relates to pay.
