Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team for lunchtime and afternoon sessions, Monday through Friday. In this role, you will work closely with Lead Teachers to support the academic, social, and emotional development of our youngest learners (ages 3–5) in a safe and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily classroom activities, including literacy, numeracy, creative arts, and play-based learning.
- Assist in lunchtime supervision and afternoon sessions every day of the week.
- Assist teachers with lesson planning, setup, and preparation of learning materials.
- Provide tailored support to individual students or small groups under the guidance of the Lead Teacher.
- Help monitor and document student progress and contribute to assessment records.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
- Foster student wellbeing, positive behavior, and healthy social development.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous experience working with young children (Early Years / Foundation Stage preferred).
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Italian is an advantage.
- Good understanding of early childhood development and play-based learning strategies.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for nurturing young children.
