RDM Group is looking for a Junior IT Business Analyst to join the IT & Digital Team based in Milan, Italy.
The Junior IT Business Analyst supports the analysis of business processes and the collection of functional requirements, contributing to the implementation and continuous evolution of RDM Group’s IT solutions. The role acts as a bridge between business functions and IT, supporting digital transformation initiatives and the adoption of Artificial Intelligence solutions across the organization.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, external partners and IT teams, the Junior IT Business Analyst helps improve operational efficiency, optimize business processes and support the Group’s innovation roadmap.
Reports To: IT Application Manager
Key Accountabilities
- Support the collection and analysis of business requirements through interviews, workshops and collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Analyse and document business processes (AS-IS / TO-BE) to identify optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate in designing IT solutions aligned with business needs and company objectives.
- Prepare functional documentation including business requirements, use cases, specifications and test cases.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and solution validation phases.
- Monitor, analyse and manage change requests and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support end-user training and adoption activities.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors throughout project lifecycles.
- Contribute to the development, customization and maintenance of applications within the Microsoft Dynamics environment.
- Support the design, development and governance of Artificial Intelligence solutions and AI agents to enhance business processes.
- Identify AI-driven use cases and opportunities to increase efficiency and innovation across the organization.
- Provide operational support to business users on IT-related topics when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Information Systems or related fields;
- 0–2 years of experience (including internships) in IT, business analysis, consulting or process improvement activities.
- English: Good written and spoken communication skills.
Techinical skill
- Basic understanding of business processes, preferably in Finance, Supply Chain and Manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of business process analysis and process modelling methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations) or similar ERP platforms.
- Basic programming skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies is considered a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) is considered a plus.
- Understanding of core AI concepts, including Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Generative AI and Large Language Models.
- Basic experience or interest in designing, configuring and managing AI agents and AI-driven solutions.
- Knowledge of Prompt Engineering concepts is considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with Microsoft AI ecosystem (Copilot, Azure OpenAI, AI Builder, Copilot Studio) is a plus.

Location: HQ, Milan, Italy (availability to travel occasionally to RDM Group mills and offices).
Employment terms:
The role is classified at Level B2 under the National Collective Agreement for the CCNL for the Cartonboard and Paper Industry (Contratto Collettivo Nazionale di Lavoro per l’Industria della Carta e Cartotecnica).
The salary range is: 28.000€ – 34.000€
