Location: Portoferraio (LI), Italy – Isola d’Elba

CAEN S.p.A. is seeking a motivated and skilled Production Test Electronic Technician to join our Product Test team. Join us and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technologies in the field of nuclear and particle physics instrumentation. The selected candidate will be part of a team of engineers and technicians dedicated to failure analysis and production testing activities.

Key Responsibilities

Perform functional and performance tests on analog and digital electronic boards.
Troubleshoot and identify failures or non-conformities at the component and system level.
Support design and development teams by providing feedback on test results and production issues.
Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and mechanical teams to ensure product quality and reliability.
Prepare and maintain detailed test documentation, reports, and procedures.
Contribute to the improvement and automation of testing processes and setups.

Qualifications & Skills

High school diploma in Electronics or equivalent technical background.
Solid understanding of analog and digital circuit theory.
Experience (even basic) in soldering and micro-soldering activities.
Proficiency in using electronic laboratory instruments (oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters, power supplies, etc.).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Team-oriented attitude with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
Commitment to delivering high-quality work within defined timelines.
Proficiency in Italian and English (spoken and written).

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of C/C++ and Python programming languages.
Familiarity with electronic design tools (e.g., Altium Designer).
