Who we are:
In the last 10 years, Mambu has been revolutionising banking - making it more accessible, more straightforward and more inclusive for everyone. With fresh funding secured and a near €5 billion valuation we have huge ambitions for ourselves and the whole banking sector.
We bring this same sense of innovation and aspiration to how we support our people. We pioneered the 4 day summer work week, have announced the provision of equity for all and launched Our Mambu Deal to capture how we work with each other and what we offer all Mambuvians.
These are just the beginning. We’ll continue to look for ways to make Mambu an even better place to work.
We’re not here to play it safe.
We’re here to change the world.
Meet our Team
Deposits are a part of Mambu SaaS banking platform core. As Mambu rapidly expands into different regions all over the world, we are keeping pace and introducing new features, like “Negative interest tiered by bands” for German banks, “Maximum balance” (which can be increased as client provides more information) for Chile, or “sub-accounts” for N26 (customer similar to Revolut). With the tenet “We build it, we ship it, we own it!”. The mission of the Deposits Team is to build business features, with high emphasis on scalability, sustainability and quality, while constantly improving technical architecture to sustain growth. Also, we have an interesting challenge ahead, introducing asynchronous APIs to early adopters.
The team is operating in an entirely JAVA based (db mySQL) API-centric solution, within Mambu product core, hosted on AWS and Google Cloud (working on becoming cloud-agnostic).
Things you will definitely like about our team: we are not supporting the business - we are the business! We don't have a requirement to track and register spent work hours. And we can take 2 paid learning days per month to get better at what we do.
What you’ll do:
- Take ownership of customer issues reported while on-call and manage the problems through to resolution
Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve customer issues
Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams
Provide prompt and accurate technical feedback to customers if requested
Follow the SLA for issues with respect to the severity
Build customer-oriented features, technical improvements and contribute in developing POCs/MVPs
Write functional and integration tests and be fully responsible for the quality of an end-result
What you’ll bring:
Your experience includes:
Your colleagues would say:
Coding isn’t your only language
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
You are not satisfied with what’s already available and have the ambition to revise and improve things in the name of progress
You love working as part of a team, collaborating and challenging each other to find the best solutions

We’re also focused on delivering a fantastic working experience for all Mambuvians. We pioneered the 4 day working week between June - August many years ago, and continue to innovate around how work should feel and how it should get done. Our Mambu Deal is how we articulate this relationship of support and dedication which drives us all forward.

Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that many job seekers (including women, people of colour and people from diverse backgrounds) are reluctant to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification.
Here at Mambu we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
