Your Team, Your Impact
As an Analog Layout Manager with Marvell, you’ll be a member of the Central Engineering business group. If you picture Marvell as a wheel, Central Engineering is the center hub providing IP to be used by all the other spokes on that wheel, including Data Center, Storage, Security, and Networking. You’ll be part of a small analog team making a big impact on this organization. Additionally, Marvell has the perfect size and scale for you to learn several aspects of engineering that will be new to you, but also have the time and freedom to dive deep into the details of your specialization on most projects.
What You Can Expect
Minimum 10+ years in analog layout design and 3+ years in management.
Deep understanding of layout methodology from initial chip planning to tape-out.
Experience with advanced process technology and FinFET is preferable.
High proficiency in LVS, DRC debugging, and interpreting Calibre DRC, ERC, LVS reports.
Proficient in Synopsys or Cadence layout entry tools; programming skills in Skill, TCL, or Perl are a plus.
Strong technical and analytical background with excellent problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience in conflict resolution and consensus building.
Proven ability to build and develop a world-class analog layout team; proactive, self-starter with strong organizational skills.
Work with global teams across Argentina, APAC, the U.S., Canada and Europe. Project durations vary from a few months to a year and a half with flexibility to switch based on changing priorities is appreciated.
Regular meetings with your paired ensure collaborative information sharing, integral to Marvell's commitment to partnership and teamwork. As a key contributor, you play a crucial role in the project lifecycle, participating in routine meetings as a technical mentor, layout team, and the broader project team. These interactions include updates on progress and may involve presenting specific issues or solutions encountered during the development of cutting-edge technologies. The dynamic nature of our work ensures continuous learning and knowledge-sharing among colleagues.
What We're Looking For
Lead a team of full-time and contract layout designers.
Assess schedules, floor plans, and risks for analog macros.
Perform hands-on work at the macro level layout.
Manage and track layout schedules; hire additional designers as needed.
Assess risks and plan workarounds to meet or exceed layout schedules.
Identify and prioritize project tasks and risks.
Work with CAD, tech, and circuit design teams to synchronize layout schedules with overall project plans.
Understand complex layout design concepts and communicate issues cross-functionally.
Education - BSc or equivalent required
Proficiency in both spoken and written Italian and English (minimum B2 level).
Location: Pavia, Italy.

Expected Base Pay Range
55,300 - 73,700, EUR per annum
The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
