About the Role:

We produce and distribute quality dairy products while maintaining reliable supply chains, responsible sourcing standards and strong supplier relationships.
We are looking for a Procurement Specialist m/f/d who can support the sourcing of dairy ingredients, packaging materials, refrigeration services and operational supplies. You will work closely with production, quality assurance, logistics and finance to ensure that the business receives the right materials at the right price and at the right time.
This is a mid level role for someone who understands procurement operations, supplier management and cost control within the food, manufacturing or consumer goods sector.

Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Sourcing:
Identify and evaluate suppliers for dairy ingredients, packaging materials, equipment, refrigeration services and general operational requirements.
Purchase Order Management:
Prepare and process purchase orders, confirm pricing and delivery schedules and ensure that purchasing records remain accurate and complete.
Supplier Negotiation:
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, minimum order quantities and service conditions while maintaining positive long term supplier relationships.
Cost Control:
Monitor purchasing costs, identify savings opportunities and support cost reduction initiatives without compromising product quality or supply reliability.
Supplier Performance:
Track supplier performance based on delivery accuracy, product quality, responsiveness and contractual compliance.
Inventory Coordination:
Work with production and warehouse teams to maintain appropriate stock levels and reduce shortages, excess inventory and expired materials.
Quality and Compliance:
Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that suppliers meet food safety, traceability, certification and regulatory requirements.
Market Analysis:
Monitor changes in dairy commodity prices, packaging costs, transport expenses and supplier market conditions.
Reporting:
Prepare procurement reports covering spending, supplier performance, savings, delivery issues and purchasing trends.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain or supplier management. Experience in food production, dairy, FMCG, manufacturing or retail distribution is preferred.
Education:
A degree or professional qualification in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, Logistics, Economics or a related field is preferred.
Procurement Knowledge:
A good understanding of purchase order processes, supplier evaluation, contract terms, cost analysis and inventory planning.
Negotiation Skills:
You are confident when discussing pricing, delivery terms and service conditions with suppliers.
Analytical Skills:
You are comfortable working with purchasing data, supplier quotations, cost comparisons and performance reports.
Tooling:
Experience using Microsoft Excel and ERP or procurement systems is required. Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar platforms is an advantage.
Language Skills:
Italian at C1 or native level is required for supplier communication. English at B2 level or above is preferred for international sourcing and business documentation.
Mindset:
You are organised, commercially aware and detail oriented. You can manage several purchasing requirements at the same time while remaining calm when delivery issues or supply disruptions occur.
