Role Description
This is an on-site role based in Griante, Lake Como, Italy, for an experienced Maintenance Technician who will support the day-to-day operation and long-term upkeep of Greyheath Hospitality's newest luxury lakeside villa.
Working as part of the on-property team, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all building systems, technical equipment and estate infrastructure are maintained to the highest standard. The role encompasses preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, contractor coordination and compliance, while supporting the seamless delivery of an exceptional guest and owner experience.
The successful candidate will play an integral role in maintaining one of Lake Como's premier private residences, ensuring the property operates efficiently, safely and discreetly at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a maintenance role within a luxury hotel, private villa, estate, or high-end residential property.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general building maintenance.
- Experience maintaining swimming pools, plant rooms, generators, water treatment systems and other estate infrastructure.
- Ability to diagnose faults and undertake preventative and reactive maintenance across multiple building systems.
- Experience coordinating and supervising external contractors while ensuring works are completed to the required standard.
- Competent in using a Property Management System (PMS) or Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders, preventative maintenance schedules and maintenance records.
- Confident using digital systems to record maintenance activities, compliance documentation and asset information.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise workloads in a dynamic environment.
- High level of discretion, professionalism and attention to detail, with an understanding of the expectations of UHNW clients and private residences.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the Hospitality Manager and wider estate team.
- Fluency in Italian is required; working knowledge of English is highly desirable.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and public holidays when required by operational needs.
- Valid authorisation to work in Italy.
