Digital Specialist – SPAIN
Role Type: Fixed term - 6 months; Part-time 3 days per week (maternity cover)
Location: Remote working from Italy
Salary: Up to €8,410.66 gross for the 6‑month contract, based on 3 days per week, depending on skills and experience.
Start date: Early August or a date in July TBC
About the Role:
As our Digital Specialist for Spain, you will play a crucial role in our mission to end factory farming by ensuring a robust digital presence in Spain. This part-time, 6 month fixed-term maternity cover position requires a dynamic and creative individual who can manage our digital communications and engage effectively with our supporters and donors.
You will be responsible for managing our website content, executing social media strategies, and handling all outbound communications.
As part of this role, you will:

Use your expertise in creating compelling web content and utilising social media will help us reach and engage a broader audience.

Act as the first point of contact for our Spanish supporters, providing excellent care and fostering strong relationships with our community.

Work with and collaborate with the Italian team, the International GIG team, and the HQ team, providing a unique opportunity to work within a passionate and dedicated international organisation.

Contribute to the development and execution of campaigns that drive our mission forward.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will be passionate and driven, with a strong commitment to animal welfare. You’ll need to be a native Spanish speaker based in Italy, with excellent written and spoken English skills, as well as a fluency in Italian is desirable. You’ll be a clear communicator and storyteller, with demonstrable experience in online communications and a proven ability to create engaging digital content.
Skills and experience you will be able to bring to this role:

Have familiarity with HTML/CSS and graphic applications like Photoshop will be highly beneficial, as well as your ability to deliver compelling storytelling, that will help enhance our supporter engagement and drive our mission forward.

Manage digital campaigns, from social media to mass email broadcasts, will be essential.

Organised, and able to interact professionally with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders in different languages.

Excellent care and attention to our supporters and donors, and be able to build lasting relationships and ensure the success of our efforts to end factory farming.

Be detail focused, with an analytical mindset, and a creative approach to problem-solving.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with global teams.

Flexible, proactive, and calm under pressure.
